Anya is a happy girl, always looking for a pair of hands to pat her belly and play with her ears. People are her favorite! Her coat is pure velvet, and somehow she still has puppy breath at 2 years old. She was rescued in the lobby of AC before even going in the back. One of our volunteers was in the lobby to pick up a TTR urgent pull when her previous owners surrendered her because they were moving. Back to Anya! She loves to catch snowballs, sun in a grassy patch, and would love to explore the beach! Her skills are, but not limited to, walking, running, hiking, playing with all the toys, and could even do agility. Don't forget kissing, hugging, lap warming, cuddling, and overall loving! Anya is wonderful with all humans, medium to large male dogs, and kids! We would suggest older children because she is a very energetic and strong. She still needs help learning not to jump. Anya loves new people so much she literally jumps with glee! Anya is high energy so finding a playful male playmate to wear each other out in a fenced in yard would make her (and you) very happy! She could also be an only dog with an active family.

From the streets to rescue, Bosco is a big lover boy looking for his forever family! He is great with kids, medium to calm energy dogs, and cats. Adoption day are his favorite days getting all the scratches and pets he can in just a few hours. He doles out the kisses and would also love a good snuggle on the sofa. Bosco thinks he is a lap dog... At least he thinks so! He will do best with a fenced in yard but it doesn't need to be too big. Lounging in the sun belly up is his favorite past time. Bosco is also medium to low energy so a leisurely walk would be fun for him. All dogs are built to be part of a family! It's time to find his!

Meet Brody the "Miracle Dog"! Brody is one of the most remarkable dogs that we (and our vets) have ever seen. This dear boy has overcome tremendous odds to survive and thrive. He was rescued from a shelter and diagnosed with the worst case of heartworms our vet has ever seen in more than 20 years of practice. He also suffered from a severe upper respiratory infection that kept him in isolation for three weeks. Brody is going through his second round of HW treatment has come through everything with flying colors! We know he will beat this. Now he is a happy, loving, joyful boy who just enjoys life and being with people! He will do fine with another female dog in the home or as an only dog. He can be particular about dogs and will require a meet and greet. No cats or small dogs. Brody will love sunbathing in your fenced in back yard!

Here is your chance to own your very own Singing and Dancing Elvis!!! Meet Elvis The Hound Dog! He sings with a baritone voice and can move those hips! All he wants is love and affection. He even rode in a golf cart... He actually met the people responsible for saving him by jumping in their golf cart and hitching a ride. Elvis loves people, kids, and all dogs big or small. A multiple dog home would be his favorite. He is not a jump player with other dogs but just wants to have a companion to explore and follow. He is crate trained but loves to sleep on the sofa or in the backyard sun patches when his foster mommy is home. He is great on a leash but does enjoy running in the fenced in yard. A fenced in yard is a must for Elvis as he likes to see what the neighbors are up to! He can also be a total couch potato and just snuggle with his people. Elvis is ready for his furever family!

  • Labrador Retriever
  • Up-to-date with routine shots
  • Spayed/Neutered
Forte is one of the most genuinely grateful pups, showing affection to everyone he meets as if to say thank you! He is so gentle and will give you calm hugs, sweet kisses, or rest his head on your shoulder to show he cares. He is a laid back boy but would love doggy companions in his future home to continue to bring out his playful side or follow around the yard and walks. He shares all the smells and his favorite past time is rolling around in the grass. Forte loved chasing the lure at Woofstock and could be a great sporting boy with a little training! However, he's happy enough being a lap dog or resting in his dog bed while you work at your desk. You really can't loose with Forte!!! When he came into rescue he was in so much pain with parvo he couldn't walk on his own or wag his tail. NNow his tail is always wagging! Healthy Forte's personality is starting to show and he is an exuberant adoptable adoptable! He likes rescue, especially all the yummy food he did not have before.

  • American Staffordshire Terrier, Hound
  • Prefers home without dogs
We are actively looking for a foster or adoptive home for Harley. He adores people and will say hello to all humans he passes. Kitties are also welcome! Harley has fallen on hard times and needs rescue to pick him back up and find a home with plenty of love to give. His owner passed away and his elderly grandfather is unable to give him the home and care he needs. He is much loved by his surrendering family but they are unable to provide a fenced in yard. This is a necessity because he is dog aggressive and must be the ONLY DOG. Right now he roams the yard and neighboring streets which is no place for mans best friend! We are still learning about sweet Harley and will keep his bio up to date as his personality continues to shine.

Meet sweet Jasmine. Jasmine was found chained up and abused at the end of a stair case. She was starved for weeks, and was covered in fleas. Jasmine spent months at the shelter, but we rescued her at just the perfect time. She is so very appreciative of her new foster home. She is the happiest dog I have ever met, and she LOVES other dogs and children. Jasmine deserves the absolute world, and she has waited so long for someone to give it to her.

 . Leah . . Leah .
  • Labrador Retriever, Pit Bull Terrier
  • Up-to-date with routine shots
"Leah" is a beautiful soul surrounded by humans and fur siblings to show her unconditional love. She was surrendered to Two Tailz Rescue by a very neglectful owner who kept her crated outside for the majority of her 6-8 month life with an embedded collar! Leah is now in perfect health ready for her new leash on life in rescue. Her spay is set for August. She received her first toy at her foster home that literally blew her mind! Now she has a whole basket to explore. Leah would be a perfect first pet for a growing family or as part of a pack of furry siblings. Meaning, she can fit into any home! She has plenty of puppy energy and would do best in a fenced yard to play. She is still learning not to jump but wants to please and will be easily corrected with a little training. Leah is really getting a handle on leash training, knows sit, and is such a smart girl. Her life is full in rescue but she needs her forever family to spoil with love and kisses.

Macon and Tybee are a bonded pair and two of three sisters who were rescued from an abandoned house in a tough neighborhood of Atlanta. They had a rough start orphaned as puppies but have had each others support all the way. They were very sick, full of parasites and needed extensive veterinary care. However, they are now healthy, happy dogs cuddling on the sofa or playing in the yard. They are total goofs and find themselves in hilarious sleeping positions! Macon and Tybee have been in a wonderful foster home their entire rescue life and we can't comprehend separating them at this point. If everything gets quiet in the house it's not because they are getting into trouble but snuggling together curled up in a ball somewhere. These sweet girls love all people and kids but are selective with other dogs so their ideal home will require a meet and greet. Two dogs and twice the love!!!

 . Moses . . Moses . . Moses .
  • Mastiff, Pit Bull Terrier
  • Up-to-date with routine shots
Moses is our newest family member and still in need of medical treatments since his rescue. He is a wonderful boy that is terribly itchy with non-contagious demodex and recovering from severe eye infections. Moses was found after being completely submerged in mud up to his head in a rising creek bed in a rural area of Georgia when AC rescued him from certain death. He has not stopped saying "thank you" to everyone he meets while wearing his new red TTR collar. He adores children and completely came out of his shell when he met two kidos at his tv interview with Fox 5. We have not had the opportunity to fully introduce him to other dogs in quarantine but he has calmly wagged his tail on the other side of the fence from pups. He is nonreactive towards cats. We are still learning about Moses and will continue to share updates about this handsome soon to be one fluffy boy. Look at those wrinkles!

Radar is approximately 2 to 3 years old. He gets along with the majority of dogs he meets. He likes kitties and can often be found snuggling with them or his two doggie foster siblings. He loves to play with his dog friends and needs a companion that can handle his play style, as he can be a bit rough. He is house broken, crate trained and has very good manners overall. He catches on quickly and is very smart and food motivated. He loves to chew on bones and has no problem sharing with his dog friends. He can occupy himself with toys, and is quite cute when he tosses them around. He’s not much of a barker, and will go the door and whine when he needs to go out.

  • Spayed/Neutered
  • Prefers home without small kids
Shelby is growing into a kind, beautiful, and hairy girl after living on the streets four years in a very rough Atlanta neighborhood inflicted with demodex, skin infections, worms, emaciation, HW+, and everything else you can think of to make anyone and more. She spent 3 weeks in the ICU at one of our veterinary clinics and defied the odds! It took our specialty team to catch her. Shelby is a fighter and we can now teach her that we are in this fight together! She is now in perfect physical health. Our dear Shelby is in an incredible foster home where she is learning to trust humans with a supportive pack to lead the way. She still has much to learn but she is ready for her forever home! She will need a patient family to give her confidence, assurance, and let her move at her own pace. Shelby now takes treats from her foster's hand and will let people approach her at adoption day for a few pets. She is still learning that the right people will always have her back and will protect her for the rest of her life.

Two Tailz K9 ResQ is not breed-specific, and has a variety of dogs from puppies to seniors for adoption. Each deserves a chance to have a loving home. If you don’t find the dog you are looking for today, please check back regularly or use the Search function on this page, as there are thousands of dogs who need loving homes. We work with a large network of breed-specific rescues, so if there is a particular breed for which you are looking, please contact us at info@twotailzrescue.org and we can help find the dog who will steal your heart with one of our partner rescues. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered (“fixed”) and microchipped before they are available for adoption–therefore, they cannot be bred. Home checks, veterinary references, and personal references are required to foster or adopt our rescues.

We do our best to place our dogs in ‘forever homes.’ When you adopt from us, you sign a contract that requires you to return the dog to us in any instance that you are unable to care or keep your adopted dog – our rescues cannot be sold or given away to anyone in any circumstance.

Our adoption fee is $250. This contribution helps offset expenses incurred in rescuing dogs and getting them healthy to be adoptable. Some of our expenses include all veterinary expenses: full vaccinations, any deworming (as needed), treating ear infections, kennel cough, heartworm tests, heart worm treatment (as necessary), spaying/neutering, and training if necessary. Other costs include purchasing martingale collars, ID tags, leashes, food, crates, bowls, etc. for each of our rescues.
